
FORMULA:
Each Kandizol Capsule contains 150 mg Fluconazole.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
Fluconazole, being a derivative of bis-triazole propanol, is an antifungal agent that is used in the treatment of superficial and systemic fungal infections. Fluconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol that is found in the membrane of fungi and yeasts and that is essential for their development and shows a selective effect on fungi.
INDICATIONS:
Kandizol Capsule is indicated for the treatment of dermotomycosis such as Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Candidiasis and acute or recurrent vaginal Candidiasis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Kandizol Capsule should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluconazole or to related azole compounds.
DOSAGE and ADMINISTRATION:
The recommended dosage in dermatomycosis such as Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris and Candidiasis is a single dose of 150 mg (1 capsule), once a week. The duration of treatment is 2-4 weeks. Tinea pedis may be needed a treatment of 6 weeks.
A single dose of Kandizol Capsule application is made in the cases of vaginal Candidiasis.
HOW SUPPLIED:
Kandizol Capsule (antifungal for vaginal candidiasis): In blister pack of 1 capsule.
Kandizol Capsule (antifungal for dermatological use): In blister pack of 2 capsules.
